I was raised on a farm where we had what seemed like, back then, to be tons of chickens! Now, as an adult, I have discovered what my mom did all those years ago, the fun of having chickens in my backyard!  I have really enjoyed watching their different personalities as they interact with each other out in the yard.  I have also found it very interesting to watch as a chicken may move up or down in the pecking order.  I love that chickens and their eggs come in so many colors, and I am learning who produces what color of eggs.  The best part about chickens is: I LOVE LOVE LOVE having a steady stream of eggs for baking and desserts.  Especially the desserts!

Most of the rooms in my home are grey and white, because I use art and other ways of decorating to bring color into my house.  This makes sure EVERY apron matches my kitchen.  Since this Rooster has so many brilliant colors, it looks fantastic on so many different apron colors. I could almost make this apron half of the aprons in my kitchen!  It looks sophisticated on hunter green or navy, or bright and happy on turquoise or hot pink!

It's no secret that my family loves to cook.  We only go out to eat a handful of times a year, because it is fun for us to perfect meals at home.  We love to host Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners as well as have friends over to grill during the summer.  For me, I enjoy cooking year round and eating all the different varieties of foods.  Having all the different aprons to go along with the meals adds to the fun.
