I love living in the United States where all the holidays are so different, it gives each day its own special feel. It’s not just the weather, but even the foods we eat that play an important part in our celebrations.
Memorial Day and 4th of July are meant for grilling out; your favorite aunts “world famous” baked beans, your sisters potato salad and your little cousins seeing who can spit their watermelon seeds the furthest. Grandma's homemade caramel corn balls and “creepy” snacks made from rice krispy treats, pretzel sticks and frosting makes Halloween so much fun. Thanksgiving is the holiday for pumpkin anything (or pecan) while trying to perfect that cornbread stuffing recipe. Christmas is homemade cookies, whether it's a traditional tea cake cookie, or Ugly Christmas Sweater cookies you decorate with your best friends and grandkids. Let’s not forget that New Years is the perfect time for black-eyed peas and pork. Of course Easter has pancake breakfasts at church across the nation and then at lunch, hot-crossed buns, ham and deviled eggs.
I LOVE THE VARIETY!
I also appreciate that we live in a country where we have so much variety in holidays - Religious holidays, holidays to celebrate our country and freedoms, even holidays just because Hallmark said they were a holiday (like national pizza day and national donut day)! That is why my pick for the month of July is a patriotic apron. It just seems like a natural choice for an all American girl to pick the old red, white and blue.
To be born in America is like winning the lottery! This country has so many wonderful things to offer.
I LOVE that someone can choose to chase riches or chase relationships or both.
I LOVE that we can pick our religion
I LOVE that we can pick our career
I LOVE that we can pick our spouse
I LOVE that we can invite the neighbors to grill out in the summer or have a quick chat over the fence.
I LOVE that we can vote if we choose and for who we choose.
I LOVE that we can choose private or public schools for our kids.
I LOVE that we can grow our own food in our backyard.
I could go on and on and on about why I believe this country is so wonderful and I am grateful to live here, but I’m supposed to be talking about why I love this month's apron pick :)
I love the design of this apron!
I love the Americana look that comes from the curls in the font. This reminds me of an old painting you might see on the side of an old barn or gas station from the days where everyone had pride for our great country.
Another thing I like about this design, is that no matter if it’s on a bold red apron (my favorite color), an elegant navy blue, or something more neutral like khaki or slate blue, the thread colors in the embroidery look so classy. You can’t go wrong with any color you pick. Even though it is the colors of Old Glory, you can wear this apron all year round. There is no specific time of year to show your love, appreciation and loyalty to our country.
The last and most important thing about this apron that I love are the words.
GOD BLESS
I have been truly blessed living in this country; from my family, to my church, to my business. I am very blessed to be married to a smart man willing to work hard for my family and is easy to look at :) We have had ample amounts of food on our table and have two very healthy girls. I am blessed to attend a church that teaches the Bible and is super friendly and inviting.
Truly this apron is one of my Favorite aprons of the year. If you are reading this, I hope you absolutely agree with the statement:

The red apron is gorgeous! I love the meaning behind the apron and love how patriotic it is. I, too, love our country and I am so proud to be American!
